If you're having so much fun on your vacation in Brazil and you want to stay a little bit longer than your initial visa would allow you which is just 90 days, you can extend up to another 90 days more. So the total days that you could legally stay in that country is up to 180 days. But you need the approval on the federal police for that extension. This sad part is, this rules only applies to American, Australian and Canadian citizens only.
