Once my parents told me that if ever they will retire, they wanted to be in South America, but they still don't know where in particular. So I would like to help them decide, with the help of you people.
So please, convince me and my parents that Brazil is the best place for retirement!

Why not further south to Uruguay? It's only a couple hour flight from Montevideo to Rio...
I think you'll find Uruguay to have less security issues, and much less bureaucracy with regards to getting residency and taxes.
In theory you can visit all the mercosur countries with your Uruguayan ID.
